Programming Perl, 4th Edition in time for holiday gifting
Tom Christiansen mentions in a comment on Stackoverflow that Programming Perl, 4th Edition should be out in October. It's already in the public O'Reilly Media catalogue and available for pre-orders (and so is you can pre-order Learning Perl).
Well, you can pre-order it now:

And:
"The 4th edition has been thoroughly updated for version 5.14, with details on regular expressions, support for UNICODE, threads, and many other features."

Oh, excellent. I really only looked to the Third edition page since O'Reilly links to subsequent editions. I should have used O'Reilly's search feature, which finds it easily. :)
Too bad it's too late for YAPC::EU, I would have loved to buy it there and get it signed. Guess I'll have to drag it along next year.
Woot! I'd pretty much resigned myself to the idea that, as long as it's been since the 3rd edition, there wasn't going to be a 4th edition for a long time (if ever).
