(should be a) Reply to [GPW 2015] German train drivers' union calls 5-day strike starting Tuesday
The German Perl Workshop will take place as planned. The following mail was sent out to (I assume) all attendees:
Dear GPW attendee,
today it was announced that the train drivers of the Deutsche Bahn (German Railways) will be taking part in a strike. So it will be very difficult to come to Dresden by train. You probably know the alternatives yourself. We hope that you will come to Dresden without problems!
Here in Dresden we have a good public transportation service and we have
a nice offer for you: We organized cheap tickets for using trams and
buses within Dresden: validity: May 6th to May 8th 2015, fare zone 10
(Dresden) - except trains. Price: 9,00€
You can buy the tickets on tuesday evening (pre-event meeting) or during
the workshop at the venue.
At the end I want to invite you to our pre-event meeting on Tuesday, May
5th. We meet at the restaurant L'Osteria at 7pm. You can find the
address on our wiki page:
Please register your name in the list on that wiki page soon, so we can
tell the restaurant how many people will come.
In the German part of that mail, there also was a special offer by the ADAC (German Automobile Club) at http://www.adac.de/pkwd, but I don't know whether that offer is still valid.
This should have been a reply to Mithaldus post, but while I can log in, and post a new post, I cannot post a reply - I always get "permission denied".
