As far as Google::ProtocolBuffers::Dynamic goes, it seems to me that you should open an issue in its GitHub repository. While releases are not frequent, it does seem to be maintained....

I am working on a new, pure perl, Thrift implementation and then step to reading Parquet files. The module will be called Thrift::Compile.

Going open source is not planned and "being more open" is what I try to do here.
That being said, I think open source does a few jobs under one name (much like XS) and I believe some of them we will be able to substitute in kind.
DBD::Pg is under pperl a pure Perl module, because we do not need to bind to a DB lib via C. I have put up Pg.pm and SQLite.pm for download as examples
