Yah, I'm trying to figure out what the point of all the golf is. If you want to embed it in your own code make a separate tool for that, but don't make it impossible to submit meaningful patches.
That is neat. Don't forget Mouse in the hierarchy. You get a bunch more of Moose, but quite a bit faster than all of Moose (my current project runs 2x faster with Mouse vs. Moose, and it looks like a lot of rewriting to get it to work with Moo).
