David Wheeler wrote a proposal about putting true exception objects into the perl core. This was a very popular thread this week.

David Golden encouraged people to use good commit hygeine when pushing commits especially if they're intended for a maintenance branch.
NWCLARK TPF grant reports
Always a fascinating read, Nicholas Clark posted a top level summary of his monthly work on the Perl core for May and June.
