Be nice to your speakers
This year we decided not to disturb our speakers on the german perl workshop during their talks to tell them the time remaining. Instead, we printed simple tags in different colors with a short meaningful text on it. As far as we got feedback from our speakers, they liked it.

These are really cool - I'd love to see these used at more events/talks/conferences.
Just like the ToastMasters
For YAPC::Europe 2007 in Vienna, we had similar cards, but on the last one we printed "__END__".
Pittsburgh Perl Workshop had something similar.
Definitely useful.
