My little part in the greater Perl world.
Might want to make comparisons to a PHP CMS rather than a blogging platform with some CMS features. WebGUI is more like Drupal than WordPress, which is more like Movable Type.
Not sure I would have interest in supporting WebGUI8 unless one of its features was a return of support for databases like PostgreSQL.
Perhaps instead we need a Bricolage 2.2.0 kickstarter.
