Both can be funny with words come from LA and and wear sometime a moustache and wild coloured shirts. But this is a Perl blog and not about trivia right?

Both believe life should be fun and are not afraid if people lough about them. But to go deeper than that, to actually manufacture something like "white and nerdy" you need to know a lot about rap have a feel for rythm and know enough about "neird culture" to be funny. to be funny you need a feeling what people expect and how they there emotional reaction will be.

Thats where we slowly get to a difference between them. Al helps you to laugh about youself by seeing your thoughts from an angle of a different culture and thishow let you see the world in a lighter way. Larry on the other hand encourages you that your thought are a possibility and not inherently wrong. With perl 6 he mixes very different expectations of different people from differen backgrounds and tries to even work together nicely. I never saw so much expertise about different languages, programming styles and techniques. He maybe not always make the best choice but i do believe that Perl 6 is one of the most underestimated software projects recently going.

And I underestimated too how smart Jim Carrey is, before i knew which conferences he attended in private.
