I'm personally more and more inclined to the idea of Perl 6 being renamed to something else entirely. We have been explaining to the outside world how Perl 5 and Perl 6 are two different languages. A name change would make it official and get this confusion over with.
Something akin to Perl++ would do. Most people understand that C & C++ are two separate languages.
There's really only one person who can decide to rename Perl 6 to something else. He's the guy who picked the name Perl in the first place. I don't think this is very likely to happen.

shure, but as a Perl vi fanboy i am, i wish it gets at least a different numeral so we could have a perl 6 .... now its too late for that anyway :)
