Perl is dead? Great! Now get back to work.

Seth Godin has an interesting take on "____ is dead" in his blog post, "Bring me stuff that's dead, please". To paraphrase him, no real work is done until an innovation is dead. So the next time you hear that Perl is dead, just laugh it off and get back to work. I know that I will.

Perl has been dead for years, and now it's more alive than ever :) On the other hand, our fellow classmate Tcl/Tk is still dying (http://journal.dedasys.com/2010/03/30/where-tcl-and-tk-went-wrong ). It needs to really die first, before it's born again.

Perl is so undead. It's impossible to kill.

Perl is dead!!??

I didn't even know it was sick.
