As requested in the Fight Night post, here is a screenshot of a Perl file loaded in Vim (in this case CGI::Simple).

I'm married with 2 girls. By day, I work as a Senior Design Engineer (full time Perl programmer) for EFJohnson Technologies, a Land Mobile Radio company, in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. By night, I play various games as the mood strikes me. (Lately it's CPAN smoke testing.)
I have my terminal set up with similar colors, but curiously, in my editor I like a light background with dark text.
Do you normally use that space on the right (that is, going beyond column 80) or do you split the screen to have another file there?
